On a warm dark evening in 1991 a young homeless woman carrying a baby turns up on Bartlemy Goodman's doorstep at Thornyhill house, England.
Annie Ward is frightened and alone in the world, apart from for her small son Nathan an exceptional infant, for his mother cannot account for his conception.
