The Chapman Report
By Irving Wallace
Synopsis
Sarah and Kathleen, Ursula and Teresa, Mary and Naomi. Six women from the better side of Los Angeles. Six women for whom the easy suburban routines are beginning to pall, for whom life is turning into an emptiness that no cocktail party, spending spree or discreet affair can fill.
Empty, that is, until Dr Chapman and his team of sex researchers come to town to probe the most intimate details of their lives, to lay bare the frustrations and the deceptions, the guilt and the conflicts that have governed their personalities and relationships.
And slowly, like flowers opening in the sun, their lives begin to change. For some, there will be revelation, a sense of release. Forgotten memories will be revived, old inhibitions will be lost. But for others, the Chapman Report will bring anguish, and suffering, and even death...
