Mysticism is concerned with spiritual knowledge-the knowledge of truths we cannot-understand with our minds. Its thirty-one sections (each with an introdustory note) are taken frem the work not only of Christian mystics, but also from the Upanishads and the Bhagavad Gita, from Plato and Plotinus, and from the Sufi mystics of Islam.
In effect this forms a very simple and complete introduction to the vast range of mystical thought and speculation.
